Gillian Robertson (Gill) is the current Convener of Dunoon Community Council.
Gill Robertson had a background in nursing and was a full time official for the Royal College of Nursing for 20 years in Glasgow and London.
Upon retiring she and her partner moved to Dunoon and she quickly became involved in the Dunoon community- running one

Upon retiring she and her partner moved to Dunoon and she quickly became involved in the Dunoon community- running one of the Slimming World groups in the town and serving on the Burgh Hall Board.
She now serves the community as a Funeral Celebrant and is a Trustee for Dunoon Foodbank and a volunteer at Historic Kilmun.
Gill is interested in ensuring Dunoon is a vibrant, fair, active and interesting place to live! Gill also holds the portfolio for Health and Social Services.

He served all over the world in numerous roles, from Combat Engineer to Close Protection Officer, From Military Training Instructor to Squadron Sergeant Major. He left the Army in 2017 and moved back to Dunoon in

He left the Army in 2017 and moved back to Dunoon in 2018. He lives with his wife Helen and his dog Spot. He has three grown up children. He was also one of the founding Trustees for the Dűthchas Charity, and formerly on the Board of Directors for the Dunoon BID. He is the Area Coordinator for Poppy Scotland and runs the Poppy Appeal for Dunoon and the Cowal Peninsular. Tom also holds the portfolio for Community Engagement and Youth Engagement.

She joined the Community Council in March 2022 and was the Secretary until May 2023, when she stepped down for family reasons. Amanda was co-opted back onto the council in November 2023.
Amanda has worked as an educator until she retired in 2020. Starting as a lecturer in post 16 education in the UK. Then moved to Europe to teach English as a second language working for Berlitz in Köln (Cologne) and Düsseldorf for a number of years.
Amanda then worked for the Ministry of Defence (MOD) as a British Modern Apprenticeship (BMA) instructor and assessor, delivering and assessing a Modern Apprenticeship Programme she designed specifically for junior soldiers, with the ratification of City & Guilds. Thus, enabling the trade part of the apprenticeship to be tailored to specific roles.
She then went on to deliver Career Guidance and training to MOD service leavers.
In 2012 Amanda moved back to the UK and began working for HMPPS (The Prison Service) as a facilitator and assessor of Therapeutic Intervention Programmes for male offenders of sexualised and violent crimes.
Amanda moved to Dunoon in 2020 along with her husband Mark, son Sam and two dogs. Amanda also holds the portfolio for Play Area Redevelopment and Grants and Funding
Tom Warren is the current Vice-Convener of Dunoon Community Council.
Tom is also the Chair of the Dunoon Community Development Trust. He and his family have lived in Dunoon since 2011, where he has been active in community-led regeneration.

Paul Graysmark is a Community Councillor on Dunoon Community Council.. Paul and his wife retired to Dunoon in September 2018. He is a retired REME soldier and semi retired Engineer Surveyor. He has previously served as a District and County Councillor in West Sussex. Paul holds the portfolio for Infrastructure redevelopment.

Bobby Good is a Community Councillor on Dunoon Community Council. Originally from Cumbernauld he moved to Dunoon 20 years ago and fell in love with the town, its people and the surrounding area. Been involved in the transport industry for 23 years and was the Area Operations Manager at West Coast Motors for six years. During this time he worked on bringing the local bus company into community led projects before leaving to represent Dunoon as an Elected Member of Argyll & Bute Council. He was Deputy Policy Lead for Roads & Amenities, Area Chair for Bute & Dunoon and represented the Council on the board of Loch Lomond National Park. Continuing in the transport industry, he now works as part of the Customer Care Team at Calmac Ferries.
Lindsey McPhail is a Community Councillor on Dunoon Community Council. Lindsey was born and brought up in Dunoon. She has been on Dunoon Community Council for over 10 years. Lindsey works in a local primary school and in her spare time she enjoys going for a cold water dip in Loch Fyne.

After being a postwoman for several years, has been employed by Argyll and Bute Council since 2012. She has a child at DGS and has been involved in many local clubs and groups over the years.
